Epilepsy is a common neurological condition affecting about 1 person in every 200.

Common seizure triggers for epilepsy include the following:

  • Missing medication;
  • Illness or high temperature;
  • Too much alcohol or a hangover;
  • Lack of sleep;
  • Stress, worry or anxiety;
  • Missing meals; or
  • Dehydration.
