It is especially relevant to cattle farmers, their employees, cattle hauliers, vets, livestock inspectors and abbatoir workers. Tractor Action
Tractors are still associated with the majority of fatal and major injury accidents on Northern Ireland Farms. The tractors in use range from older models, often in poor condition, to the sophisticated, more complex higher powered models operated by contractors on large farms.
The rules are still the same. Operators need to know their tractor well in order to use it safely and get the best from it. The new "Tractor Action" booklet sets out in attactive and readable form, how any driver should prepare to get on a tractor and operate it safely. It will be made widely available to farmers, agricultural contractors and others who operate agricultural type tractors.
