Fundamentals of Attribute 4 Health Safety and Welfare: Health and Welfare webinar

The final in this series of three events will focus on health and welfare and will be presented by HSENI who are the regulatory body for health and safety in a range of work sectors across Northern Ireland.

Translink are the public transport provider for bus and rail in Northern Ireland and undertake the role of the client, principal designer and principal contractor for upgrade and maintenance projects on the bus and railway infrastructure. 

AECOM is a worldwide infrastructure consulting firm, who across their multidisciplinary roles, undertake the role of the designer.

Farrans are a leading building and civil engineering contractor with over 80 years’ experience of delivering projects across the UK and Ireland who undertake the role of principal contractor.

HSENI will provide an introduction to health and welfare and the importance of this topic.

Translink will present from their client’s perspective and the challenges they are addressing to improve health and welfare across their remit.

Aecom will present on the designer's role and how designers can make a difference through their design for positive health and welfare.

Farrans will present on health and welfare aspects to be addressed during construction.

Health inside the helment - Mental health in construction

This collaborative Zoom Webinar (NISG / CIOB NI Hub / BMHA / Buildhealth and Lighthouse Club) will offer current information on mental health within the construction industry and give local organisations the tools to offer support to their workforce and supply chain.

Fundamentals of Attribute 4 Health Safety and Welfare: Working at height

Session one

The first in this series of three online events will focus on working at height and will be presented by HSENI who are the regulatory body for health and safety in a range of work sectors across Northern Ireland.

HSENI will provide an introduction to working at height, the risks and accidents that can occur.

Northern Ireland Water (NIW) is a government owned company providing water and sewerage services in Northern Ireland - they will undertake the role of client.  

NIW will present on working at height from their client’s perspective and their aims of buildability, operability and maintainability.

AECOM is a worldwide infrastructure consulting firm; Doran Consulting are independent consulting engineers based in Belfast, both of which will undertake the role of designer. 

AECOM and Doran Consulting will present on the designers role in working at height and how designers can make a difference to eliminate and reduce the associated risks.

Babcock Rail are a leading rail systems company who undertake the role of principal contractor on railway infrastructure in Northern Ireland.

Babcock Rail will detail examples of working at height that they encounter whilst working on rail systems and how they implement safe systems of work to manage the risks involved.

Managing work-related stress - The Organisational Approach webinar

This webinar will cover the key elements of HSE's Management Standards for work-related stress and the associated five step risk assessment approach.
