Please note that during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic large numbers of HSENI staff will be working away from the office.

During this difficult time HSENI will work to maintain all its services but this may not be at normal levels. In order to assist us please first look on our website for information.

COVID-19 Temporary Changes to NI10 Update Requirements

Until further notice, if there are COVID-19 related impacts on the project such as a different start date/finish date, a reduction in the number of contractors on site or the duration of the work due to social distancing requirements, there is no need to notify these changes to HSENI.

If however there are other non COVID-19 changes such as a change of Principal Contractor, a major change to the scope of the work, etc. then please update your previously submitted notification in the usual way by e-mailing online@hseni.gov.uk with the case reference number and indicating the amendments required.

How to get in touch with us

Only if you cannot find what you are looking for on our website please contact us using the following mailbox mail@hseni.gov.uk which will be monitored. This mailbox should also be used in preference to posting and sending in all general mail.

Statutory inspection reports relating to Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999 should be forwarded to online@hseni.gov.uk

Please only contact us by telephone on 0800 0320 121 in the case of an emergency or to report a fatality.

Also, given the current Covid-19 outbreak, and the advice to stay at home when possible, and also in order to minimise the pressure on key workers in the postal service, HSENI would kindly ask all suppliers who would normally post invoices to our premises at Ladas Drive, to please email them to finance@hseni.gov.uk and we will endeavour to pay them as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your assistance with this and your patience as we try to process payments as promptly as possible whilst safeguarding our staff and others in society.

Please note that until further notice, our office in Belfast is no longer open to the public. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes, however we are taking this precaution to protect staff and public alike.

We thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
