HSENI Safety Alert - Everun ERT 1500 Rough Terrain Telehandler

Introduction
HSENI have received a Product Safety Report for Everun ERT 1500 Rough Terrain Telehandler (2511-0158) presenting a serious risk of injuries.
Issue
The Product Safety Report has shown that the product presents a serious risk of injuries as a result of the absence of a coherent declaration of conformity and quality control regime.
Corrective action:
The sale or supply of machines with serial numbers 1BT01K2900 and 1BT01K2890 is prohibited in Northern Ireland.
Affected products
HSENI are aware that some machines of this model, specifically those with the serial numbers 1BT01K2900 and 1BT01K2890, present a risk of serious injury as a result of the absence of a coherent conformity assessment and quality control regime. Consequently, there are essential safety features missing on some machines.
Missing safety features include (but are not limited to):
- Longitudinal Load Moment Indicator (LLMI) and/or Longitudinal Load Moment Control, to alert the driver to potential overload or forward tipping
- adequate seat construction, which has been assessed and labelled as meeting the required input spectral class
- suspension to the operator’s seat to reduce exposure to whole body vibration
- appropriate guarding / protection to hydraulic hoses situated within the footwell of the cab to prevent the risk of thermal and/or high pressure injection injury to the operator
- load chart or information contained within the instructions for use for the safe use of additional attachments supplied with the machine such as the bucket
- appropriate identifying marks to the supplied attachments to indicate their suitability for use with this or any other machine
The product does not meet the requirements of the harmonised Standard BS EN 1459-1:2017 relied upon to demonstrate conformity.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC).

The nameplate can be found attached to the rear of the machine. This label may also be located within the cab. Thus far, the following serial numbers of the Everun ERT 1500 Rough Terrain Telehandler model have been inspected and deemed non-compliant:
- 1BT01K2900
- 1BT01K2890
Additional machines of this model may exist in Northern Ireland and so it is essential that users check their machines and compare with the missing safety features previously outlined.

The sale or supply of machines with serial numbers 1BT01K2900 and 1BT01K2890 in Northern Ireland is not permitted as they do not comply with the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC).
Suppliers of this model in Northern Ireland should contact existing customers to make them aware of the risks associated with the use of machine if the essential safety features are absent.
Suppliers of this model in Northern Ireland should verify that any future imports include the appropriate safety features for the manufacturer’s stated intended use of the vehicle, and that the accompanying documents are representative of the machine supplied.
End users of these machines should check that the safety features mentioned above are present on their machine. Any concerns regarding the safety or conformity of machines purchased should be referred back to their supplier.
