HSENI Safety Alert – Hotronic Heat Presses require immediate modification via manufacturer to prevent overheating

Introduction
HSENI have been received a Product Safety Report for Hotronix Heat Presses (2502-0118) presenting a risk of fire. The manufacturer has initiated a modification programme.
Issue
The Product Safety Report has shown that the range of products present a risk of fire as it is possible for the electrical cabling and/or switches to overheat and become damaged. The 3500W heating plate has a serial plate rating of 15 amps but has been supplied for use in the UK with a 13 amp fused plug.
Affected products
The cabling issue in commercial heat press machines for use in printing on apparel which state 3500/15 Watts/Amps on the labelling, manufactured in the United Sates and supplied between February 2018 and December 2024. Finding the value of Watts/Amps on the labelling will help you identify if your unit is affected.
The ratings for the Watts/Amps are found on the same label as the serial bar code and is attached to the side panel of the product. This label may be located on the back of the product as well.
Products with 1800/7.5 Watts/Amps are unaffected.

- Hotronix Dual Air Fusion IQ ProPlace (XRF2PP)
- Hotronix Fusion IQ 40x50cm (XF)
- Hotronix Air Fusion IQ Table Top (XRF-TT)
- Hotronix Air Fusion IQ Pedestal (XRF)
Corrective action
The manufacturer has initiated a modification programme.
Owners should stop using the product immediately and disconnect the heat press from the power supply.
Contact Stahls UK (Europe) Ltd to arrange for them to replace the power switch and circuit breakers.
