Why are you processing my personal information?
Personal data is being collected to deliver HSENI’s “Workplace Health Conference”. The conference will focus on the protection of employee’s health whilst at work. It is in the legitimate interests of HSENI to provide information and promote Health and Safety at work, relaying the importance of reducing work-related serious injury and ill health.
This conference will kick start HSENI’s year long health campaign where all operational groups undertake health related inspections. The Conference will allow HSENI to reach a wide range of industry staff and allow delegates to take the knowledge they learn and apply it in everyday work practices. The processing of your data will allow HSENI to determine numbers for the event, ensure appropriate health, safety and security provisions are in place, as well as adequate accessibility and dietary requirements.
This will be a paid for event and HSENI has contracted a data processor, NICON, who will collect payment and registration information before transferring details of delegates to HSENI.
If you are speaking at this event, HSENI will gather your personal data to be included in HSENI itineraries and literature for the event and advertising of the event.
The lawful basis for processing your personal data is that of 6(1)f Legitimate Interests and where applicable 6(1)a consent. Where we are collecting special category data the lawful basis is 9(a) explicit consent.
If consent is the lawful basis for processing your data you will be informed of this at the time of collecting your personal data and asked if you consent to the processing.

If speaking at the event HSENI will collect a pen pic (image) and bio information of the speaker.
Where do you get my personal data from?
This information is collected from you at the time of registering for the conference or agreeing to speak at the event.
Do you share my personal data with anyone else?
The data collected by NICON at the time of your registration, will be shared with HSENI. This information is necessary to process and plan the conference.
HSENI is using NICON, as a data processor, to help it deliver the Workplace Health and Safety Conference. We have a contract in place with NICON which means that they cannot do anything with your personal data unless we have instructed them to do so.
Do you transfer my personal data to other countries?
No.
How long do you keep my personal data?
We will only retain your data for as long as necessary to process in line with the HSENI's Retention and Disposal Schedule.
Do you use my personal data to make an automated decision about me or for profiling?
