This guide is aimed at employers who intend to employ young people in the workplace. It also applies to employers participating in vocational training or work experience activities as The Health and Safety (Training for Employment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994 regard students and trainees on work experience as employees and affords them the same protection under health and safety law.
